Elaine is an experienced social media trainer with a background in Business Analysis and Project Management.
Elaine’s career spans manufacturing, retail and distribution, and she has worked with organizations including Lansing Linde, Reckitt Benckiser, Toys ‘R’ Us, Rémy-Cointreau and Cinram. Elaine has worked on European and US projects and has lived and worked in France, Germany and Australia.
After taking time out to raise her family, Elaine retrained in Digital Marketing and became lead course facilitator for the Oxford-based courses at TechPixies in September 2017. Elaine has hands-on experience as a social media manager and has worked on a wide variety of social media client accounts ranging from sportswear retailers to builders, homeware retailers to app developers.
Elaine founded Clew Social Media in September 2018 with the aim of providing affordable, accessible and practical social media training for small businesses.
One day while scrolling through Twitter, Robert Macfarlane’s word of the day popped up in Elaine’s feed. The definition of the word “Clew” struck a chord. It seemed to perfectly describe what Elaine wanted her business to be about – guiding people through the maze of social media, with simple principles to lead through the perplexity.
From that point forward “Clew” Social Media was the only possible name for the business.
